Geddes Specialized Supports

I am truly honoured to work alongside dedicated, compassionate and brilliant clinicians. I also work alongside some of the most caring, and resilient parents, as well as some of the sweetest, yet strongest children and youth that there are to be found. I have learned a great deal over the last couple of decades working in this helping profession. I am pleased to be in a position where I can share what I've learned with others while offering support and exploring different approaches that often lead directly to improved outcomes. I strongly believe that it takes a community to raise a child, and that we all need 'helpers' from time to time. My recent professional and academic experiences have clearly demonstrated a significant need for extra support at this time for those experiencing what is commonly referred to as 'invisible disabilities', which include neuro-developmental disorders; particularly Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder which is caused by even small amounts of prenatal exposure to alcohol. The prevalence rates are much higher than we have commonly understood them to be. I am passionate about raising awareness in this regard to improve the circumstances for those currently affected, and certainly to reduce the instances in the future.
